Dr. Anupriya Roy Srivastava is an Assistant Professor of English and the coordinator of Ph.D. Programme of Amity School of Languages in Amity University, Lucknow. She has been recipient of U.G.C. Research Fellowship from 2007-2011. She had been awarded Ph. D. degree for her research on largely unexplored area of the construction of self in Indian Women’s Autobiography. Her thesis entitled ‘Writing Selves: Autobiography and Indian Women Writers’ shows her acumen to deal with difficult research topics. She has interest in various areas of English literature like Women’s Studies, Autobiography Studies, Dalit and other Marginal Literature, Contemporary Indian Writing in English, etc., and, has published many research papers in many refereed and indexed journals of national and international repute. Her associations with professional and literary societies like Shakespearean Society of Eastern India, Kolkata, IACLALS, etc. evince her active interest in academic activities. She is also member of editorial board of many international refereed journals. Dr. Anupriya has been a keen learner of languages and can speak, read and write five languages (English, Bengali, Hindi, Italian, and Spanish). She has secured first class with Distinction in both 2-years Diploma in Spanish and 2-years Diploma in Italian from Department of Foreign Languages, Banaras Hindu University. She is an avid painter, photographer, vocal classical singer and classical dancer, having awarded Ankan Bivakar and Senior Diploma in Kathak Nritya from Rabindra Bharati University.
